A Devil-ishly Good Time

Last night, we went to see "The Devil Wears Prada." Now, I'm not sure how much of Meryl Streep's wardrobe was Prada, but every outfit was divine! Everyone wore beautiful clothes and looked beautiful. But, that's to be expected in a movie about looks.

Anyway, the movie is hilarious. If you've read the book, many of the Miranda Priestly vs. Andy (Ahhhndreaaa!) Sachs moments are on the big screen. Many of the side stories are not. Even though it veered from the book (something I generally HATE), the move was well done and very enjoyable.

We laughed when different lines or scenes reminded us of people or situations that were real to us. Everyone has experienced someone like the characters in the movie and some of us have even gone so far as to make the job too important.

The biggest lesson...as usual, life is about the people in it, not the job. After all, many of us have put our all in the job, only to have it taken away!

This weekend's releases, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest...I know we're there, my only issue this week...I didn't see the first one! Yikes!
